Le groupe XalamII est une figure phare de la scène sénégalaise contemporaine, possédant une identité musicale d’une originalité proprement inouïe, évoluant librement entre mbalax, jazz, et musiques africaines.
Avec talent et audace, le groupe XalamII a ainsi réussi à créer un univers sonore hybride en expansion continue résultant d’un exigeant parcours de recherche musicale qui les a conduit à travers le Sénégal pour explorer les rythmes et instruments traditionnel du pays (mbalax des Wolofs, ndëpp des Lébous, musique peule, sahourouba et bougarabou des Diolas de Casamance, ndioup des Sérères, mandingue…).

An extraordinary man, humble and generous, Pape Diouf supported us until the end by making the trip to attend the parade. Senegal and the football world have lost a great man.
